What is eMule?
At dawn of May 13th 2002 a guy called Merkur was dissatisfied with the original eDonkey2000 client and was convinced he could do better. So he did. He gathered other developers around him, and eMule Project was born. Their aim was to put the client back on track where eDonkey had been famous before, adding tons of new features and a nice GUI. They couldn't imagine what impact this decision would have...

As of today, eMule is one of the biggest and most reliable peer-to-peer file sharing clients around the world. Thanks to it's open source policy many developers are able to contribute to the project, making the network more efficient with each release.

What does eMule mean?
The name "eMule" comes from an animal called "Mule" which is somehow similar to a donkey

How often is eMule updated?
eMule is not updated regularly, but at the moment the frequencies are between 1 and 3 months. Don't take this for guaranteed.

Clients use several networks to create one reliable network. (ED2K, Source Exchange, Kad)
Kad is now in an open testphase, eMule v0.42 can be enabled to use Kad
eMule's Queue and Credit system helps to ensure that everyone will get the file he wants by promoting those that upload back to the network.
eMule is completely free. eMule is also completely free of any Adware, Spyware, and ect. We do this for fun and knowledge, not for money.
Each file checked for corruptions while downloading to ensure an error free file.
The eMules Intelligent Corruption Control helps to speed up the correction of corrupted parts.
Auto priorities and Source management allows you to start many downloads without having to monitor them.
The Preview function allows you to look at your Videos and Archives before they are completed. For video previewing, we recommend the Video Lan Client.
The eMule features webservices and a webserver that allows you to have quick access to and from the internet.
You can create categories for your download to organize them.
To find the file you want, eMule offers a wide range of search possibilities which include: Servers (Local, and Global), web based (Jigle, and Filedonkey), and Kad (Still in Alpha).
eMule also allows you to use very complex Boolean searches that make the searches much more flexible.
With the messaging and friend system, you can send messages to other Clients and add them as friends. In your friend list, you can always see if a friend is online.
With the build in IRC client, you can chat with other downloaders and chatters around the globe.

Der Trick liegt nahe das kurzum mit .htaccess bzw. anderen welche URL rewrite aktiviert am Server alle Google Pagerank Abfrage Server auf eine x beliebige Domain mit hohen Pagerank 6, 7 oder gar 8 und mehr weitergeleitet werden. Dies erzielt das lediglich die fuer die Pagerank Abfrage verwendeten Google IP's dem zu Folge einen fremden gefaelschten Pagerank wieder geben welcher nicht deren Webseite entspricht sondern die eines anderen.

- Check the domain with fake PR checkers like SEOlogs.com, CheckPageRank.net, or RankAlert.net Do not use standard PR tools or the Google toolbar, it will show you the wrong faked Page Rank which is not the real one from the website!
- Type the domain into Google (domainname.com) and if another domain comes up in the first result, then the page is being redirected and domainname.com is fake.

TorrentSpy Closes Doors to US Users

Saying it wants to protect user privacy, TorrentSpy said Monday that it will no longer allow visitors from the United States to use the site. The BitTorrent search engine's servers are located in the Netherlands, and it falls under the jurisdiction of the European Union, as do the copyright laws that govern it.

The decision to ban US users from the site was not due to any compulsion from the courts, it assured. "Rather it arises out of an uncertain legal climate in the United States regarding user privacy and the apparent tension between US and European Union Internet privacy laws," the company said.

Sandboxie 3.00.17 - Trust No Program!

Tired of dealing with rogue software, spyware and malware? Tired of spending countless hours removing unsolicited software? Try Sandboxie.
When you run a program on your computer, data flowsfrom the hard disk to the program via read operations. The data is then processed and displayed, and finally flows back from the progam to the hard disk via write operations.
For example, if you run the Freecell program to play a game, it starts by reading the previously recorded statistics, displaying and altering them as you play the game, and finally writing them back to disk for future reference.
Sandboxie changes the rules such that write operations do not make it back to your hard disk.
The key component of Sandboxie: a transient storage area, or sandbox. Data flows in both directions between programs and the sandbox. During read operations, data may flow from the hard disk into the sandbox. But data never flows back from the sandbox into the hard disk.
If you run Freecell inside the Sandboxie environment, Sandboxie reads the statistics data from the hard disk into the sandbox, to satisfy the read requested by Freecell. When the game later writes the statistics, Sandboxie intercepts this operation and directs the data to the sandbox.
If you then run Freecell without the aid of Sandboxie, the read operation would bypass the sandbox altogether, and the statistics would be retrieved from the hard disk.
The transient nature of the sandbox makes it is easy to get rid of everything in it. If you were to throw away the sandbox, by deleting everything in it, the sandboxed statistics would be gone for good, as if they had never been there in the first place.
Protecting your Freecell statistics using Sandboxie may be a good idea when a less qualified player comes along, but you will probably want to play most of your games outside the sandbox. On the other hand, you may want to run your Web browser inside the sandbox most of the time. This way any incoming, unsolicited software (spyware, malware and the like) that you download, is trapped in the sandbox. Changes made to your list of Favorites or Bookmarks, hijacking of your preferred start page, new and unwanted icons on your desktop -- all these, and more, are trapped in and bound to the sandbox.
You could also try a new toolbar add-on, browser extension or just about any kind of software. If you don't like it, you throw away the sandbox, and start again with a fresh sandbox. On the other hand, if you do like the new piece of software, you can re-install it outside the sandbox so it becomes a permanent part of your system.
Sandboxie intercepts changes to both your files and registry settings, making it virtually impossible for any software to reach outside the sandbox.

eMule AcKroNiC è una versione modificata del client eMule. È una delle pochissime MOD italiane, la sua caratteristica principale è la sicurezza. Con sistemi avanzati di protezione la MOD offre un'alta sicurezza anche grazie al lavoro con il team dell'eMule Security Center che mette a disposizione un efficacissimo filtro per eliminare i server fake e spia sia tramite i loro IP sia tramite i relativi nomi e descrizioni (Advanced Server Filters). La MOD contiene molte feature che la rendono una tra le versioni più famose presenti nella rete. Fin dalla nascita è anche presente in lingua inglese.

ISP Trasveral:

Questa feature cripta i pacchetti di eMule per evitare che siano intercettati dai filtri anti–p2p di alcuni provider. Cripta solo i dati tra due mod che implementano la stessa versione dell’ISP Traversal, mentre verso gli altri client e verso i server le comunicazioni sono in chiaro. È incompatibile con l'Offuscamento del Protocollo e molto probabilmente nella prossima versione verrà sostituito proprio da questa funzione.

Nat-Trasversal:

NAT Traversal (NAT–T) è una funzione che permette la comunicazione tra client anche questi sono nascosti da un NAT, evitando quindi di assegnare ID basso.Questa funzione è stata creata da DavidXanatos,sviluppatore della NeoMule,un'altra versione di eMule che per prima ha inserito questa funzione.

Dopo mesi di stallo ed una estenuante attesa, un manipolo di betatester e coder è riuscita a rilasciare questa versione per risolvere i problemi di tutti gli utenti fastweb tagliati fuori dal network AdunanzA a causa dei recenti lavori di Fastweb (quelli con ip 28.x).
Il merito va a Tigerjact che si è improvvisato coder fruttusamente, sfornando anche il nuovo installer. Ovviamente non dimentichiamo i betatester che hanno partecipato ai lavori senza i quali non avremmo potuto rilasciare nulla.

Questa release non cambia molto per il progetto AdunanzA. La situazione è ancora quella di stallo descritta in questo thread (nessuno sviluppatore e pochi mezzi per andare avanti) tuttavia speriamo prestissimo di dare nuova vita al progetto (http://www.adunanza.net/forum/ showthread.php?t=43511).

1. You can use the simple but powerful "File Manager" to categorize and manage downloaded files more efficiently.

*Some may know that changing the circuits (hdd bios and all electronic with the same unit for the device) will give the result by the first bootup that it's locked. It will before access can be given writes the lock in step 3, 4 (Motor spin up lock) automatically back (the "locked device information") Since the password is stored on the surface, it cannot be removed by swapping circuit boards. And, since the Firmware Area cannot be read with any widely available software, the password cannot be easily read or removed. Motor Spin up lock will not even show a password prompt. The disk lock is a built-in security feature in the disk. It is part of the ATA specification, and thus not specific to any brand or device.

A disk always has two passwords: A User password and a Master password. Most disks support a Master Password Revision Code, which can tell you if the Master password has been changed, or it it still the factory default. The revision code is word 92 in the IDENTIFY response. A value of 0xFFFE means the Master password is unchanged.

A disk can be locked in two modes: High security mode or Maximum security mode. Bit 8 in word 128 of the IDENTIFY response tell you which mode your disk is in: 0 = High, 1 = Maximum.

In High security mode, you can unlock the disk with either the user or master password, using the "SECURITY UNLOCK DEVICE" ATA command. There is an attempt limit, normally set to 5, after which you must power cycle or hard-reset the disk before you can attempt again.

In Maximum security mode, you cannot unlock the disk! The only way to get the disk back to a usable state is to issue the SECURITY ERASE PREPARE command, immediately followed by SECURITY ERASE UNIT. The SECURITY ERASE UNIT command requires the Master password and will completely erase all data on the disk. The operation is rather slow, expect half an hour or more for big disks. after restore Mozilla Webbrowser settings I realize that the Firewall Filter driver have been disabled. Every try to reinstall the firewall failed. Firewall is permanent off in error mod. The legitim Product Activation from some applications include AV subscription (ESET, Agnitum, Kaspersky...) and Windows Genuine Product Key are suddenly invalide. Stolen? The OS is on that system unusable after try to recover cause all backups are injected with it. I cant read binary code before this part above but since 1983 my very first computer Comodore C64 I never seen an application what can do such disaster and destroy Windows unrecoverble. Read More...
